We don’t often have @rita.ivanova.art in front of the camera but here she is @rita.ivanova.art the talented artist behind This Small King’s special book illustrations. We asked Rita to tell us about what inspires her to draw.
Here is what she told us…
I am inspired by people, or rather their communication styles and outlook on the world. I also love architecture and interiors, and visiting new places in my city, in Russia choosing them based on the design of the room or space. This trait was formed during my studies in architecture and has stayed with me to help me choose compositions for illustrations and backgrounds in animation. I've loved drawing since childhood, but only dared to turn my hobby into a job on maternity leave when I became Egor's mother. Those were the most amazing two moments that divided my life into before and after. I was lucky enough to meet Lauren @superlola123, who believed in me as an illustrator, and it gave me great motivation and the realisation that I could do what I love and work at the same time.
We are so lucky that we found her.
